Description:
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Expertise in designing packaging for retail, B2B, and shipping needs.
- Knowledge of materials such as paper/card engineering, plastics, foam, and molded pulp.
- Proficiency in software tools including:
- Impact
- Solidworks
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Zund flatbed cutter setup and operation
- The ability to rapidly create packaging prototypes for feedback and testing.
- Exceptional multitasking skills, managing multiple projects with ease.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Structural Packaging Designer, you’ll craft economical, efficient, and beautiful packaging solutions for our world-class audio products. Collaborating with internal stakeholders, creative teams, and our wider customer-focused group, you’ll prototype, test, and launch packaging that meets RØDE’s high standards for quality, sustainability, and branding.
This hands-on role also includes creating bespoke packaging for special editions, marketing materials, and props for video productions. You’ll report to and work closely with another packaging design specialist who will support your daily tasks.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Designing, prototyping, testing, and deploying packaging solutions that align with RØDE’s structural, brand, and sustainability guidelines.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand packaging requirements and presenting innovative concepts.
- Developing detailed 3D models to account for packaging content, storage, handling, transport, and retail display.
- Managing all related documentation, reports, and inspections.
- Creating short-run packaging solutions for marketing, corporate use, and special projects.
- Contributing to the creation of props and assets for video and photo shoots.
- Staying informed on market trends, customer needs, and industry standards to inform your designs.
