Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Estimator specialising in Windows, Glass, and Glazing. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing accurate project estimates, liaising with clients, and supporting the sales team to secure new business opportunities. The role involves working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure precise quotations and efficient project planning. Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate sales estimates for windows, glass, and glazing projects based on client specifications and site measurements. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide product information, and clarify project requirements. Utilise Microsoft Office programmes such as Excel and Word to compile quotations, cost analyses, and project documentation. Manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining high levels of organisation and time management. Collaborate with the sales team to develop customised solutions that meet client expectations while adhering to budget constraints. Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain pricing, availability, and delivery timelines for materials. Present proposals to clients confidently, highlighting features, benefits, and value propositions of products offered. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, product innovations, and software tools such as AWS and Azure that support estimating processes. Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and industry regulations. Experience Proven experience in sales estimation or a related role within the windows, glass or glazing sector is preferred. Strong presentation skills coupled with excellent customer service abilities. Proficiency in communication skills—both written and verbal—in English is essential. Demonstrable competence in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and organisational tools such as Microsoft Word. Familiarity with cloud-based platforms like AWS and Azure is advantageous for data management tasks. Good IT skills with an understanding of estimating software or specialised industry programmes is desirable. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines. Previous experience in the construction or manufacturing industries involving glazing products will be considered an asset.
