Each “session” lasts on average 20 to 25 minutes and Specialists are paid pro rata at an hourly rate (that depends on standard or specialised session rates) starting from NZD $24.40 for standard sessions, and NZD $25.40 for specialised sessions. Opportunities exist for experienced, longer term team members to earn an hourly rate up to NZ $26.90. We are currently seeking applicants to support secondary and tertiary students in the following subjects:
Connect Live is a real-time voice and text based platform where students can discuss questions from a range of subjects with a Subject Specialist. Our Subject Specialists guide and explain concepts to students and help them apply this learning to their tasks, using a “help, not answers” model that ensures that the highest standards of academic integrity are maintained and students are empowered to advance their own understanding. The service is highly flexible, allowing Specialists to choose when they are available to help across the whole 24 hour period on any given day. Weekend availability is highly desirable.

Our service usage follows academic calendars, with high student usage periods from April to June, then August to November. During the remaining months, student usage is comparatively lower, but our app allows Subject Specialists to be alerted to waiting students without needing to stay at their computer.
