Description
The Local Unit Manager position fulfills the following purposes: * Oversee all aspects of local unit finance and record keeping for a given area * Ensure that local unit leaders and clerks are properly trained on finance and membership record-keeping policies and principles * Develop internal controls to safeguard sacred funds * Report to the area controller, and receive additional direction and support from the Treasury and MSR Divisions at Church headquarters * Ensure that local unit record-keeping reports are accurate and submitted to Church headquarters on time * Supervise the work of Local Unit Analysts to ensure that all financial and record-keeping processes are administered properly * Identify and analyze local unit trends and provide reports to the Area Presidency, DTA, and other impacted departments, that are useful in decision making * Oversee and provide support for regional Local Unit offices * Look for opportunities to improve financial and record-keeping processes
