We are seeking an experienced New Zealand Operations Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across all New Zealand functions, including Equipment, Port, Transport, and Depot operations. Job Description This is a pivotal role where you’ll drive operational excellence, deliver safe and efficient services, and ensure strong customer outcomes while meeting revenue and cost objectives. You’ll play a key role in standardising practices across sites, unlocking cross-functional value, and leading empowered teams to achieve sustainable performance. Here is some of what you’ll do: Lead all NZ operational functions – Depot, Transport, Equipment, and Port – ensuring alignment with group strategies and objectives. Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring full compliance with HSE requirements and driving continuous improvement across all operations. Oversee Depot & Transport operations with full P&L accountability, optimising resources, managing supplier performance, and delivering commercial growth. Drive operational excellence at ports, ensuring vessel turnaround efficiency, schedule reliability, and strong relationships with service providers and authorities. Lead Equipment management initiatives, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and optimised utilisation across the network. Deliver against key KPIs: safety, operational efficiency, budget performance, staff engagement, and customer satisfaction. Build, develop, and inspire high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and resilience. Qualifications What you’ll bring 10+ years’ operations leadership experience within shipping, logistics, or related industries. A proven track record of delivering results in complex, high-pressure environments. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and geographies. Excellent problem-solving and analytical capability, with sound commercial acumen. High levels of integrity and work ethic, ensuring the right controls and governance are always in place. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). This is a full-time permanent role based in our Parnell, Auckland office.
