  • Commitment to adhering to the program’s procedures and ensuring safety and accuracy in hearing screening.
  • Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain.
  • Valid Working with Children Check.
  • A current Victorian Drivers Licence, as the ability to travel between maternity hospitals is essential.
  • Compliance with RCHs “Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases” procedure.

Responsibilities:

This is a part-time position within the Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program, working Fridays and alternate Thursdays.
You will be responsible for performing hearing screens on newborn babies using electronic equipment in accordance with VIHSP protocols. The process includes obtaining parental consent and providing clear information about the screening process, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and reporting of screening results, and general administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, data entry, and maintaining screening equipment while ensuring supplies are adequately stocked.
Classification for this position will range from AO21-AO25 per annum, plus superannuation.
