They are seeking someone with 5+ years of dedicated infant experience who is confident in their abilities but also open and adaptable to the family's preferences. Grandma cares for the baby two days per week, including every Tuesday, so there is flexibility in the nanny’s weekly schedule. The Ideal Candidate Will Be: Experienced: At least 5 years of hands-on infant care; knowledgeable in newborn milestones and growth development. Developmentally Focused: Engages in age-appropriate play such as tummy time, music exposure, outdoor sensory play, and walks. Gentle and Respectful: Attuned to baby’s cues and needs, supporting feeding on demand (combo of breastfeeding and bottle feeding based on mom’s work schedule). Excellent Communicator: Keeps open, consistent communication with the parents and respects their parenting approach. Mature and Responsible: Comfortable working in a home with two WFH parents and navigating shared spaces respectfully. Trustworthy Driver: Willing and able to drive baby safely if needed. General Responsibilities: Loving and attentive care of the newborn during work hours Feeding on demand every 2–3 hours (combo of nursing/pump bottles) Safe sleep practices (e.g., sleep sack, sound machine) Daily walks and outdoor play, weather permitting Supervised tummy time, music sessions, and developmental interaction Tidying nursery/play areas and keeping baby-related items organized Light Household Support: Letting the dogs into the backyard during the day Retrieving mail, reminding about or assisting with taking out trash Contributing to family grocery list as needed
Responsibilities
The nanny will provide loving and attentive care for the newborn during work hours, including feeding, safe sleep practices, and engaging in developmental activities. Light household support tasks such as letting the dogs out and assisting with household reminders are also included.
