Description
Unit Description: DNV - Area North China is part of the Maritime Region Greater China and consists of around 150 employees in 5 major locations. Services delivered are related to ship classification of vessels and offshore units as well as certification of material and components. Station Nanjing NB & CMC is looking for experienced Newbuilding Surveyors, who’re going to work for projects at Yangzhou City, Zhenjiang City, Taizhou City and Wuhan City. Job Responsibilities: * Perform new building surveys on ships according to rules and regulations. * Ensure smooth execution of projects in collaboration with the PM and peers on-site. * Proactive and smooth communication with the shipyard and owner’s representatives. * Certification and verification of materials and components underclass and non-class related systems and processes. * Manage a group of customers and interact with colleagues from all over the world to follow up on their needs. * Be the advisor of our customers to guide them in the regulatory landscape of the maritime industry and support their development. * Conduct all activities in a safe manner with due regard to your own safety and the safety of others. Responsibilities
The surveyor will perform new building surveys on ships according to rules and regulations while ensuring smooth project execution in collaboration with project managers and peers on-site. Responsibilities also include certifying materials and components and acting as an advisor to customers regarding the maritime industry's regulatory landscape.
