Description

ABOUT US

The CJCH Limited in-house legal team is a bespoke, dynamic legal department operating within a broader international organisation focused on IP, technology, and software licensing compliance. Our work spans multiple jurisdictions, helping clients navigate the complex intersection of legal compliance and commercial opportunity. We also collaborate with a network of trusted partner law firms around the world to deliver seamless legal solutions.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are looking for a newly qualified to +1 year PQE solicitor (must be a qualified solicitor in the UK) with a background in intellectual property law, and more specifically copyright law, to join our in-house legal team. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to move away from the traditional private practice path and take on a broader, more commercially focused / legal operations role within a collaborative business environment.
You will work across a range of legal, compliance, and operational matters and will also be involved in managing and coordinating work with our international network of legal partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide legal support across copyright, licensing, and compliance matters,
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial and legal agreements, including client contracts, settlement agreements, and letters of engagement,
  • Assist with international legal projects, often in collaboration with external counsel across multiple jurisdictions,
  • Liaise with partner law firms globally to deliver legal solutions to clients,
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, commercially aware legal support,
  • Support internal compliance initiatives and contribute to legal process improvement,
  • Collaborate with the legal team and wider business to support compliance initiatives,
  • Monitor legal developments and assess their impact on the business.
