YOUR NEW ROLE:

LBC is looking for an experienced Newsgathering producer to support its team of journalists working on high impact original journalism, day-to-day news output, and breaking stories.
You’ll have a hand in delivering exclusives, positioning LBC’s reporters at the heart of the stories which matter to our audiences and support with the wider planning operation for Global’s newsroom.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting the wider newsgathering team to co-ordinate our coverage of breaking news, on-diary stories, and the curation of original journalism.
• Booking high profile guests that help spark debate, bring analysis, and are at the heart of the stories that matter to LBC.
• Taking a lead in planning meetings when necessary, guiding producers through the news agenda and key moments that are coming up
• Managing a prospect grid and diary of upcoming news events
• You’ll be confident at making decisions around the use of reporters, which could have an impact on our output.
