JOB SUMMARY

The NGL Business Lead will play a key role in optimizing Delek Logistics plants, pipeline, and trucking assets through the purchase of physical products from producers at the well head and the purchase, sale, and optimization of physical crude oil or products across off-market center locations core to DKL’s business footprint. They will manage ongoing business relationships with counterparts, develop new ideas in the crude oil or products marketing space, and provide operational support for energy transactions in the energy marketing group.
The ideal candidate will have experience in and a solid understanding of product marketing, first purchasing, and commercial activities. They will be hyper curious, intensely detail oriented, and passionate for negotiations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4 year / Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
  • 10 years of experience in related field (required); as a Marketer or Light Ends Trader (preferred)
  • Four (4) or more years Management experience (Required)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Negotiate short and long term commercial deals for the purchase, sale, or movement of crude oil or products with a focus on wellhead and off-market center transactions or minimum commitment contracts
Build relationships with existing and potential key counterparts, including producers, pipeline operators, trucking companies, and other refiners
Lead in the development of strategic analysis for team to facilitate decision making and present to executive management on crude oil or products marketing business strategyDevelop a deep understanding of logistics and infrastructure core to the gathering business
Lead in the preparation and validation of reports of portfolio position and profit/loss
Handle pricing and payment issues with Division Order & Accounting groups
Research and resolve deal related discrepancies with limited guidance using blend of knowledge, experience and analysis.
Improve business processes through leading change management across marketing and marketing support functions
Occasional visits to field, refineries, customers and customer outings
Accountable for Region’s vacation and time off administration
Providing leadership, training, guidance, and resources for the regional marketing team
Builds trust, fosters openness, and provides support.
As the manager of a team, selects and motivates a strong team.
