JOB SUMMARY

This is one of 11 patient tracing officer posts within NHS Central Register Branch of National Records of Scotland (NRS). The NHS Central Register is a database of all patients on GP lists in Scotland and plays a vital part in assisting the NHS transfer of medical records when patients move across UK borders.
The post offers a great opportunity to develop skills and experience as a data entry administrator contributing to NHSCR service delivery. Full training will be provided.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Identifying and updating individual’s registration details on our system
- Carrying out quality assurance work to verify data held on various databases.
- Working flexibly as part of a team to meet the branch objectives.
- Responding to customer enquiries

TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
- Work with Data - Confidence with accessing and updating data in different systems, checking data quality, use of data transfer tools and awareness of data protection and security.
EXPERIENCE:
- Good written and oral communication skills and confidence in engaging with a range of people.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and proactively contributing to achieve agreed targets and objectives.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
