We specialize in the design, installation, inspection, and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, and multi-residential properties.
We are seeking a NICET Level IV-certified Fire Protection Inspector to join our team and take a leadership role in our inspection and compliance division.

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a NICET Level IV Inspector, you will serve as the subject matter expert for water-based fire protection system inspections. You will be responsible for overseeing complex inspections, ensuring code compliance, mentoring junior inspectors, and interfacing with clients, contractors, and AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NICET Level IV Certification in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems (required)
  • Minimum of 7 years of inspection experience in the fire protection industry
  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA 13, 25, 14, and local codes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams
  • Proficiency with inspection software and reporting tools
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Hawaii-specific license or certification requirements, if applicable

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with building owners, facility managers, and fire marshals
  • Familiarity with wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems
  • Experience with corrosion monitoring, testing devices, or antifreeze loop evaluation

Responsibilities
  • Lead and perform inspections of fire sprinkler and standpipe systems in accordance with NFPA 25 and local codes
  • Conduct condition assessments, prepare detailed inspection reports, and recommend corrective actions
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and AHJs to resolve code and compliance issues
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to NICET I–III inspectors
  • Review and approve inspection documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Serve as an in-house expert on NFPA standards and applicable regulations
  • Represent the company during third-party audits, insurance inspections, and jurisdictional reviews
