Principle Purpose of Job The Night Audit position oversees and completes nightly financial reconciliation for all Devil’s Thumb Ranch properties while maintaining overnight front desk operations. The Night Auditor ensures accurate reporting, resolves balancing discrepancies, and delivers professional guest service to support a safe, smooth overnight experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Complete the nightly audit by verifying, balancing, and reconciling financial transactions across all departments and properties. Review room, tax, and revenue postings to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies or irregularities in daily financial activity. Prepare and distribute required audit reports to leadership within established timelines. Maintain and complete all nightly audit checklists and documentation. Manage overnight front desk operations including guest check-in/check-out, reservations, and guest inquiries. Provide professional guest service, addressing concerns promptly and escalating issues when appropriate. Monitor lobby and public areas overnight to support guest safety and operational awareness. Answer and route phone calls, emails, and internal communications. Assist with luggage handling, valet coordination, and shuttle arrangements when needed. Support housekeeping, billing, and accounting processes related to overnight operations. Maintain accurate guest records and confidentiality of financial and personal information. Communicate overnight activity, incidents, and audit findings through detailed shift reports. Remain knowledgeable about resort services, events, and departmental operations to assist guests effectively. Adapt schedule and duties to meet business demands, training needs, and operational priorities. Assist leadership with special projects or operational tasks as assigned. Uphold all department, safety, and resort policies and procedures. Responsibilities may evolve with business needs; flexibility and teamwork are essential. Requirements Minimum 2 years of hotel front office, night audit, or accounting experience preferred. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reconciliation. Experience with a property management system (Resort Suite or similar) preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications. Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Clear written and verbal communication skills, especially when resolving guest concerns. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours. Professional, friendly demeanor with a guest-focused mindset. Trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential financial and guest information. Flexible schedule availability including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record required. Positive attitude, reliability, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Compensation Description: $19.00 - $21.00/hr Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. Benefits and Perks: 152 hours of Paid Time Off if FT, Year-Round employment status.
