We are looking for an ambassador for Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour as Part-Time Night Auditor. The ambassador should an eye for detail, a passion for creating magnifique luxury experience for our guests and developing a wonderful team. Your Purpose: Your are a silent closer of the guest experience, ensuring every detail is reconciled, every stay ends flawlessly, and no thread is left untied before the new day begins. Job Description Our Ambassador will: Oversee overnight front office operations — supervise late check-ins, early check-outs, and ensure smooth guest service during night hours. Complete night audit duties — reconcile finances, daily revenue, balance PMS reports, and prepare accurate financial summaries for relevant departments. Maintain security and safety — monitor the property overnight, manage emergencies, and ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures. Handle guest needs promptly — manage wake-up calls, newspaper orders, room service, and special requests with professionalism and care. Support communication and reporting — compile and distribute night reports, update statistics, and communicate key information to morning teams. Supervise and assist staff — guide night porters and support other departments (Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping) as needed. Uphold standards and compliance — follow PCI, cash-handling, and liquor-licensing policies, maintaining guest confidentiality and brand standards. Qualifications Full, clean New Zealand manual driver’s licence is a bonus (LCQ/Manager’s Certificate an advantage). Previous experience in a five-star or luxury hotel environment preferred, ideally with exposure to PMS Opera or Opera Cloud systems. Exceptional attention to detail and time management, maintaining a professional image through polished presentation and communication. Proactive, adaptable, and positive, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering genuine, guest-focused service. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays (night allowance paid at 1.25x between 12:00 am – 5:00 am).
