Aloft Plano is looking for a dependable, detail-driven, guest-focused Night Auditor to lead our overnight operations. This role is essential in keeping the hotel running smoothly—balancing the books, assisting late-night travelers, ensuring safety, and preparing the hotel for the next day. Job Summary
The Night Auditor oversees front desk operations during the overnight shift (typically 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) and completes required accounting and audit tasks. Responsibilities include guest registration, reservations, nightly financial balancing, security walkthroughs, and preparing daily operational reports.

Requirements
Guest Services & Front Office Operations
Greet guests warmly and handle late-night check-ins, check-outs, and requests.
Maintain a professional, friendly, service-oriented demeanor throughout the entire shift.
Fulfill all front desk functions during overnight hours.
Assist guests with food orders or light F&B service if applicable to the property.
Maintain proper cashiering procedures and accurate record-keeping.
Handle guest concerns, requests, and issues promptly and professionally.
Night Audit & Accounting Responsibilities
Initiate and complete the End-of-Day process.
Balance daily transactions including room revenue, F&B postings, phone charges, valet laundry, and all departmental paperwork.
Complete the Night Audit checklist and ensure accuracy of all reports.
Run required Food & Beverage audit reports.
Prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report and other required documents.
Complete direct bill packets and prepare financial backup for the Property Accountant.
Transfer house accounts and ensure accurate posting of vouchers, folios, and checks.
Prepare daily revenue summaries and other reports as assigned.
Safety, Security & Overnight Operations
Conduct and/or verify assigned overnight security walks and property checks.
Maintain radio communication with team members throughout the shift.
Follow all emergency and safety procedures according to Avion Hospitality standards.
Ensure public areas are tidy, room service trays are removed, and pool/hot tub areas (if applicable) are organized.
Manage Lost & Found procedures accurately.
Assign delivery of newspapers and Express Check-Outs.
Reset F&B POS systems or other operational systems as required.
Teamwork & Administrative Duties
Train new Night Auditors as needed.
Attend required meetings and complete tasks assigned by management.
Support a culture of friendliness, professionalism, and teamwork.
Perform any other duties requested by the Asst GM or hotel leadership.
Education & Experience
Minimum 1 year of hotel or related experience required.
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in accounting or related fields helpful.
Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Must be proficient with Windows systems, spreadsheets, word processing, and hotel systems.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, resolve guest concerns, and respond to emergencies.
Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to stay calm, composed, and objective under pressure.
Able to interpret and use financial information and basic arithmetic functions.
