Description Night Auditor - 402150 Department: Rooms Reports To: Front Office Manager/Director of Front Office Operations FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Summary: The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing the revenue and expense transactions, handling the front desk duties during the overnight shift, and ensuring a smooth operation of the hotel during nighttime hours. The role also involves providing exceptional customer service to hotel guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform nightly audit of hotel transactions, ensuring that all financials are accurately balanced. Check guests in and out, ensuring proper room assignments and handling guest requests efficiently. Handle all guest inquiries, providing information about the hotel, its services, and the local area. Prepare and distribute daily reports to the management team. Monitor the security of the hotel during the night, responding to any emergencies or disturbances. Process all financial transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and ensuring proper posting to guest accounts. Ensure proper communication with the next shift and management team, noting any issues or important information. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area. Provide wake-up calls and perform other guest services as needed. Perform basic troubleshooting of hotel equipment and systems, escalating issues to the appropriate department as necessary. Qualifications: Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a customer service role preferred. Experience in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus. Skills and Abilities: Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision. Proficient in the use of computers and hotel management software. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
