Description The Night Auditor / Front Desk Agent is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service during overnight hours while completing the daily accounting and auditing functions of the hotel. This role combines front desk operations with night audit responsibilities, requiring an individual who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently. The Night Auditor serves as the primary hotel representative overnight, assisting guests, processing arrivals and departures, and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately balanced and reported. Requirements Guest Service & Front Desk Operations Welcome guests in a friendly, professional, and service-oriented manner. Check in late-arriving guests and process early morning departures. Respond promptly to guest requests, questions, and concerns. Provide information regarding hotel services, amenities, and local attractions. Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment throughout the overnight shift. Handle guest transactions accurately, including cash, credit card, and room charges. Night Audit & Financial Responsibilities Complete the nightly audit process and ensure all daily transactions are balanced. Verify guest accounts, room rates, market codes, and billing accuracy. Post room and tax charges to all occupied guest accounts. Process express checkouts and guest folio corrections. Reconcile cash, credit card, and system transactions. Run required audit reports and revenue summaries. Complete daily revenue and accounting reports accurately and on time. Maintain all night audit controls and internal financial procedure Qualifications Previous hotel front desk, guest service, cash handling, or night audit experience preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic computer and accounting skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to remain professional and calm in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule with availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
