Description Position Overview: As the Night Auditor at Palm House, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during overnight hours. This position combines front desk responsibilities with end-of-day financial reconciliation. You will be responsible for auditing daily financial transactions, assisting guests with late-night check-ins or inquiries, and ensuring all departments are properly closed out for the day in accordance with property standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced in luxury hospitality or hotel finance operations, with strong customer service and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities: Financial & Audit Duties: Accurately reconcile all guest folios and hotel revenue for the day across departments (F&B, Front Office, etc.). Balance and verify daily cash receipts, credit card transactions, and room charges. Run night audit procedures in the hotel’s Property Management System (Opera preferred). Prepare and distribute daily financial and operations reports to management. Identify and correct discrepancies in accounts or transactions. Ensure that all postings, adjustments, and charges are accurate and documented. Communicate with MOD via email if any issues regarding billing occur Promptly responded to guest requests during shift, including providing towels, bath amenities, pillows, and other necessities to ensure guest satisfaction Guest Services: Greet and assist guests with check-ins, check-outs, and overnight inquiries. Handle late-night guest requests, complaints, or emergencies with a high level of professionalism and discretion. Communicate guest needs and relevant shift information to morning staff and leadership. Ensure lobby and front desk areas remain clean, secure, and guest-ready overnight. Maintain knowledge of property amenities, services, and emergency procedures. Monitor guest services outlook inbox and respond in a timely matter Security & Operations Support: Complete safety walks and property checks as required. Assist in emergency situations by following hotel protocols and contacting appropriate personnel. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Accounting, Hospitality, or Business preferred. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hotel front office, accounting, or night audit roles. Experience with Opera, Unifocus or similar hotel property management systems required. Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and guest service abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes. Physical Requirements: Ability to remain at a desk for extended periods while working on a computer. Ability to stand and walk periodically. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds (e.g., reports, supplies, light luggage). Must be able to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
