The Night Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring both exceptional guest service and the accuracy of the hotel’s financial operations during overnight hours. This position combines front desk responsibilities with accounting functions, supporting a seamless guest experience while completing nightly financial reporting and audit processes. Requested Tasks * Provide front desk service including guest check-in, check-out, and handling overnight inquiries * Complete nightly audit procedures including balancing room revenue, reconciling accounts, and closing the day in the property management system * Review and verify accuracy of financial transactions, postings, and reports * Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports * Monitor hotel activity during overnight hours and ensure guest safety and satisfaction * Respond to guest requests and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner * Maintain accurate records and documentation of overnight activity * Coordinate with security and other departments as needed * Prepare the front office for the morning shift Requested Capabilities * Prior experience in hotel front desk, night audit, or hospitality operations preferred * Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting * Experience with hotel property management systems preferred * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to work independently and manage overnight responsibilities * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills * Professional, calm, and service-oriented demeanor As part of the Makeready collection, we proudly offer a variety of thoughtful benefits and perks for eligible team members including accommodating PTO/PTO exchange, medical/dental/vision benefits, maternity/paternity leave, pet insurance, company-matched dependent care & 401k, student loan repayment program and a wide range of additional ancillary benefits.
