Job Description Summary The Night Auditor is responsible for accurately balancing all hotel income and expenses. The NA also acts as M.O.D. and Guest Service Agent for the hotel’s overnight front desk. The NA provides attentive, courteous, and efficient service with every interaction. Job Description DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Balance and audit room revenue, food and beverage revenue, and telephone revenue for accuracy; assist in preparing all reports relevant to daily revenues. All room tax charges, cashier reports, and guest house account for accuracy, balance, and audit. Complete and transmit daily management/accounting reports with any supporting documentation, ensuring the accurate accounting of the hotel revenues and expenses. Prepare daily, weekly, and month-end reporting packs. Act as the security point of contact during various times in the shift. Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions under established procedures, including but not limited to posting all charges, completing cashier and other reports, preparing deposits, and counting/ securing assigned bank. Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services, room location, and the Travel Pass rewards program. Answer phones promptly and courteously. May routinely book guest reservations for individuals and groups requested either by phone or from within the hotel; process cancellations, revisions, and information updates on changes—up-sell rooms where possible to maximize revenue. Service the gift shop and follow all local laws concerning alcoholic beverage sales. Ensure that special guest requests are fulfilled, and that guest services are delivered correctly. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent required. One year of previous hotel experience is preferred. Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Mathematical skills, including basic math, percentages, and variances, are preferred. Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities are preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred. Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility. Carrying, lifting, or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds. Often handling objects and equipment. Standing for extended periods. May be required to obtain a TIPS certification. Additional Job Information/Anticipated Pay Range Pay range $25.00 - $26.00 per hour. The base pay offered may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and specific/overall experience.
