JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans meticulously. A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
• A valid driving licence is advantageous for providing transport when necessary.

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Support individuals in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on care needs.
• Follow individual care plans and report any changes in residents’ conditions to the appropriate staff members.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to care provision and IT systems used for documentation.
