Comfort Care Line values respect, clear communication, and collaboration, creating a supportive environment for both clients and staff.Role Description The Night Caregiver role at Comfort Care Line is a full-time, on-site position based in Hayes, providing overnight support and supervision to clients. In this role, the caregiver assists with personal care routines, mobility support, and repositioning, while monitoring clients’ comfort and safety throughout the night. Responsibilities include responding to calls and alarms, administering or assisting with medications in line with care plans, and documenting observations and any changes in clients’ conditions. The Night Caregiver also helps with light housekeeping related to client care, supports bedtime and morning routines, and collaborates with daytime staff to ensure continuity of care. The position requires maintaining a calm, reassuring presence and following all health, safety, and confidentiality guidelines.Qualifications Experience in caregiving, support work, or a related care role, preferably in residential, home care, or similar settings.
  • Ability to provide personal care support, including assistance with hygiene, dressing, mobility, and safe use of equipment.
  • Strong observation, record-keeping, and communication skills to accurately report client needs and changes.
  • Capacity to work night shifts reliably, remain alert, and respond promptly and appropriately to client requests and emergencies.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying care needs.
  • Knowledge of basic health and safety practices, infection control, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues, follow care plans and organizational procedures, and participate in training.
  • Relevant care qualification, certificate, or training (such as NVQ or equivalent in Health and Social Care) is beneficial but not mandatory.
