POSITION OVERVIEW

The Night Cleaner/Security plays a dual role in ensuring the hotel is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and that the property, guests, and staff remain safe and secure during overnight hours. This position requires attention to detail, responsibility, and a strong focus on guest service.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or security roles preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically able to perform cleaning tasks and walk/stand for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

CLEANING DUTIES

• Perform nightly cleaning of public areas (lobby, washrooms, elevators, etc.).
• Restock supplies in public washrooms and service areas.
• Report any maintenance issues or damages to management.
• Ensure garbage and recycling are emptied and disposed of properly.

SECURITY DUTIES

• Conduct regular security patrols of the property, both inside and outside.
• Monitor hotel entrances, exits, and parking areas for unusual activity.
• Ensure doors and access points are secure during non-operational hours.
• Respond promptly to guest concerns, noise complaints, or security issues.
• Maintain accurate records of nightly activities, incidents, and inspections.
• Liaise with local authorities if necessary.
