Job Title: Night Manager - Children’s Residential Homes
Salary: £31,479 - £32,495 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Location: Cheadle Hulme, SK8 6RQ

This vital role ensures the highest standards of care and safety during the night, offering leadership to the night staff and fostering a nurturing environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

As the Night Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the well-being of our children, ensuring their needs are met throughout the night-time hours. You will directly manage the shift leads/seniors and associated staff teams in promoting quality sleep for our children. When awake, you will support the team to ensure our children are provided with a safe and supportive environment to help them achieve their full potential.

Requirements of the role:

  • L4 or L3 QCF Level 3 Diploma Children’s & Young People’s Workforce, NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care (CCYP) Diploma or equivalent is essential
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations
  • Previous experience of working in a similar care environment with knowledge of sensory impairments, and complex health needs
  • Knowledge in safeguarding and protection of children and vulnerable adults
  • Strong experience of managing a staff team; supervising and completing appraisals with staff in a care setting
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to write and maintain reports and children / young people notes
  • Skilled in creation of bespoke care and support plans, risk assessments etc.
  • Experience of working with a variety of communication methods including PECs, objects of reference and basic signed communication
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with parents/staff/other professionals.
