REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 1 year’s management or supervisory experience within hotels, serviced apartments, or aparthotels.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions during overnight hours.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and security procedures in a hotel environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work 5 nights out of 7, including weekends.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Night Manager to oversee the smooth running of our serviced apartments during overnight hours. This role involves managing operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, supervising night staff, and maintaining security across the properties. The ideal candidate is organised, customer-focused, and capable of making quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise all overnight operations to ensure a smooth and seamless guest experience.
  • Handle guest enquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, both in person and online.
  • Respond to guest messages on OTA platforms (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia) in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process and charge virtual cards due overnight, ensuring payments are completed accurately.
  • Oversee the security and safety of guests, staff, and the properties during night hours.
  • Monitor and maintain property standards, including cleanliness, maintenance, and compliance with health and safety procedures.
  • Carry out nightly administrative tasks such as reports, cash handling, and OTA updates.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the night audit and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maximise room occupancy at the best possible rates, using upselling techniques to promote the properties.
  • Ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes for all guests.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and colleagues.
  • Provide a thorough and accurate handover to early staff and the Duty Manager at the end of each shift.
  • Work closely with the daytime management team to ensure a seamless transition between shifts.
  • Respond to emergencies quickly and effectively, taking appropriate action.
