NIGHT PORTER

We are an independent family run 4 AA Stars Hotel set in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside with an excellent reputation as a venue for weddings, ceremonies, family celebrations, conferences and meetings. We are recruiting for a Night Team member to join our busy team on a part time basis.

Please note this is be very demanding and physical job with lots of moving of furniture and crockery, there is also a very large site to cover when monitoring the security.

Due to our rural location it is recommended that candidates have their own transport.

• Assisting in the running of the reception area at night time - checking in guests and dealing with any guest queries.
• Monitoring the security of the hotel for the safety of all guests and members of staff.
• Assisting with the set up and running of the late hotel bar
• Assist with the Events and Front of House department when necessary
• To ensure that the hotel, public areas, grounds and car park are clean and presentable at all times.
• Setting up conference rooms on quieter nights and supervising the setup team on busier nights - ensuring the venues are ready for the following days events.

Requirements/ Responsibilities for Night Porter:

• Our ideal candidate would have previous hotel experience in a similar role.
• All applicants must have a flexible approach to their work and be willing to work the hours required of the business.
• An excellent standard of presentation is essential.
• It is envisaged that this role will primarily be 2 nights a week - Friday & Saturday - however there may be extra days required to cover holidays or busy weekends.
