JOB SUMMARY

The Rudding Park team’s core purpose is to create timeless memories and instinctive care in exceptional spaces.
To be responsible for the overall management of the hotel overnight ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff alike acting as Rudding Park’s ambassador at all times, and to undertake the correct posting of revenue via the night audit.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overseeing all Resort Operations throughout the night
  • Welcoming guests including late check-in and assisting with their requests as and when required throughout the night.
  • Manage and support the Front Office Manager in respect of performance, reviews, training and any management issues including poor or unacceptable performance
  • Conduct walk around across the hotel to ensure all businesses’ are aware who is on duty in the case of any further assistance require on the evening/night
  • Ensure that all public areas are of the standard expected and assist with any housekeeping duties
  • Perform any related security duties as required overnight
  • As a team ensure that offices are clean and tidy at all times
  • To attend all meetings and training sessions when requested including the departmental meeting
  • Undertake a handover with Late Duty Manager
  • Oversee and run the night audit, end of day reports, auditing of revenue postings
  • Check all guests in house bills to make sure all bills are accurate
  • Order newspapers for the following day
  • To take telephone enquiries and bookings
  • Be aware and able to enforce all fire-life-safety procedures
  • Provide cover in the case of an emergency wherever possible for the portering service
  • Any other duties as requested by the Front Office Manager and the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Be responsible for Health and Safety as an individual and also to work colleagues, customers and the business, reporting concerns through the Health and Safety processes and procedures.
  • Ensure continuous professional development of self, including attending required training courses and seeking means of developing within the business
  • Promote continuous improvement in the level of quality and customer care provided by the business and make proposals/suggestions where applicable
  • Respect colleagues and the working environment at all times.
  • Ensure high standard of dress and self-presentation within the working environment
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate within the position for which you are qualified.
