We are currently seeking a Night Porter to become part of our team at the Cavan Crystal Hotel.
This part-time, permanent role involves supporting the Night Team in ensuring the safety and security of the hotel and its guests, performing reception duties, and maintaining high cleanliness standards throughout the premises.
Shifts typically run from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with availability required for 3 to 5 nights per week depending on business needs.

Cavan Crystal Hotel is one of Cavan’s leading 4-star hotel’s. Located less than 5 minutes’ drive from the centre of Cavan Town, it features an 17 m swimming pool, an award-winning Zest health and fitness club, Atrium Bar and Glassworks Restaurant.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the security of the hotel is maintained overnight, conducting regular fire and security checks
  • To be available to attend to guests needs and ensure the highest standards of customer care at all times
  • Check in and out hotel guests as required as well as assisting with guest requests in relation to luggage/porterage and any other requirements.
  • Responsible for the cleaning of areas in the hotels including, but not restricted to lobby, back office, stairways, restaurant and bar floor, public and staff areas and the meeting room floor.
  • Assist with Conference & Banqueting set-up upon request
  • Administration as required, to include printing reports and preparing and filing the guests registration cards and filing room service dockets.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior hospitality or experience in a similar role is advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to empathize with guests and team alike
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Experience working as part of a team and on own initiative
