The Royal Swan, Ashley Manor, Shedfield has opened its doors to public in October 2023 after an extensive refurbishment project with 37 rooms open and another 12 are still being refurbished.   • Must be flexible to work on rota basis
  • Language: English required, additional languages highly valued
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude, self-motivated person with the ability to work alone and in a team
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, offers and the local area
  • Previous experience in Health & Safety and First Aid is desirable

EXPERIENCE:

  • Min 1 year experience in a similar Night role within a similar sized hotel
  • Min 1year experience within a hotel
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract
    Pay: From £12.50 per hour
    Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

Responsibilities
  • Welcoming guests, and checking guests in and out, taking payments and returning deposits
  • Providing friendly and courteous service to external visitors and internal staff
  • Taking restaurant reservations and bookings for special occasions (afternoon tea, entertainment nights, etc.)
  • Responding to guest requests and making sure they are comfortable throughout their stay
  • Reporting maintenance concerns to the maintenance team
  • Understanding and executing fire safety/emergency procedures
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the reception area, lobby, and other public areas
  • Processing wake-up call requests
  • Helping staff to set up rooms or move furniture
  • Ensuring the safety of guests by, for instance, placing and removing signage that indicates wet floors or paint
  • Patrolling the hotel and premises for security checks
  • Preparing hotel reports for various departments
