Job description

JOB PURPOSE

To provide excellent guest service at all times and ensure smooth running of the hotel during the night.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Take reservation using the hotel reservation system, ensuring maximum occupancy and rates are obtained
Check guests in and out, including preparation of guest bills and authorising payments
Dealing efficiently with day to day billing and guest service queries
Take food orders, service drinks at the bar, assist with food preparation
Clear/clean tables, buffet, kitchen and bar and meeting rooms
Report anything considered a health and safety hazard
Prevent abuse and/or destruction of hotel property
Be flexible at all times in order to cover the unexpected needs of the Hotel and outlets
Responsible for looking after Hotel property at all times
Report to Manager on shift
Ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
To ensure that the company dress code is always adhered to
Bar duties –closing, serving drinks and restocking
Preparation of the breakfast (Setting up continental)
Completion of the duties checklist
Security of hotel, floor checks and monitoring of CCTV
