Killarney Royal, part of the Hayfield Family Collection, are currently recruiting for a Night Porter to join our team. Punctuality and reliability will be key as the successful candidate will be responsible for the health and safety of guests during the night shift.

Responsibilities

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Great local knowledge of Killarney / Ireland
  • Be Computer literate
  • At least 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Thorough Understanding of the importance of Customer Experience and uncompromising standards of excellence
  • Full clean drivers licence an advantage.
  • High Attention to Detail
  • Willingness to work in various functions across departments
  • Great communication skills – ability to clearly communicate with guests and management and staff across a variety of nationalities and experience levels
  • Fluent English (written and verbal)
  • Energetic, Friendly, Approachable, Professional, Courteous and Well Groomed
  • Have the ability to maintain accuracy and speed whilst working under pressure

As the Night Porter you will assist the team with ensuring the hotel standards are delivered to guests and customers at all times throughout the night. Some of the duties include:

  • Cleaning duties to ensure public areas are kept clean and tidy through the night
  • To serve Food and Beverages in accordance with hotel standards on request by hotel residents.
  • To consciously monitor the security of the hotel at all times.
  • To report all incidences during the night.
  • Completion of Night Audit duties
  • Check in of late arrivals
  • Check out of early departures
  • To be familiar with hotel layout, the hotel area and locality.
  • To carry out the Hotels customer relations’ policy, and to communicate Hotel services to guests.
  • Complete manual handling duties within the hotel such as furniture removal / deliveries of boxes etc.
  • Replenish stores and service rooms as required
  • Prepare general areas to expected standards.
  • Highlight any items or areas that need maintenance
  • To understand responsibilities in relation to Fire Procedures, Health and Safety, Infection Control and Emergency Aid
