Busy family friendly and dog friendly hotel, in beautiful Studland is now looking for a Night Porter.
This position, within our Front of House Team, is crucial for delivering exceptional hospitality to our guests and assist in maintaining a safe, secure and clean environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Provide a welcoming and effective check-in process for late arrivals, and early check outs adhering to standard operating procedures.
• Run Nights shifts, follow all company policies and procedures in the right way.
• Ensure the Safety and Security of all Guests and the property overnight by carrying out security patrols and following all company protocols.
• Ensure that End of the Day process is carried out and reports are printed according to requirements.
• Follow all Nights Procedures and ensure that all check lists are filled in.
• Report any incidents, accidents and H&S risks in an efficient way.
• Ensure that all guests accounts are accurate and that payment is taken and recorded before guest departures if needed.
• Take guest reservations in accordance to company guidelines, using our Property Management systems if needed.
• Ensure that all company and government legislation is adhered to, and any shortfalls are reported to the Front of House Manager in an effective way.
• Encourage feedback from all guests so as to ensure the ability to anticipate the needs to guests at all times.
• Follow Nights emergency instruction in case of any emergency situation
• Ensure you have an exceptional knowledge of the local area, and competitor hotels and what is going on within the city at any time.
• Ensure that you have knowledge of the Front of House system and able to perform check-in, check-out and create new reservations.
• Assist the Food and Beverage team with the preparations for breakfast, and the breakfast service delivery
• Assist with holiday cover in the department, including day shift on reception and night shift as requested by the Front Office Manager.
• Any other reasonable request by the management, Duty Managers or other Heads of Departments.
