OUR HOTEL
This is your place. The Osprey Hotel, located in Naas, Co. Kildare is just 35 minutes from Dublin City and close to all major routes. The Hotel comprises of the four-star contemporary styled 108 bedroom Osprey Hotel, Spa, Conference Centre, Business Campus, Osprey Leisure and the Herald & Devoy Restaurant.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We are looking for someone who is friendly, helpful and empathetic to the core. If this is you, then this position is a perfect match. The Night Porter is a varied role which takes into account all the departments within the hotel including bar service. This role is crucial for the everyday running of the hotel as it provides the link between all departments. The ideal candidate would have must have excellent communication and presentation skills, a team player with the ability to multi task and have a fine eye for detail. Previous experience with Front Office or Nights would be desirable but not a necessity. On the job training will be provided to the successful candidate.
WHAT’S INVOLVED IN THE ROLE:
- To great all guests in a warm and a friendly manner
- Function and meeting room set up
- To prepare and serve beverages
- Full knowledge of all items (food & drinks) on the menu
- Stocking up bar and preparing for service
- Ensuring the lobby and public areas are kept clean and presentable at all times
- Ensuring toilets are clean at all times
- Ensuring hotel exterior including car park are kept clean.
- Ensuring all reasonable guests’ requirements are met promptly and professionally
- Handling guest queries
- Preparing room service and delivering to guest room.
- To adhere to all Company policies including Customer Care, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Cash Handling etc
- Effective communication with other employees to ensure the day to day business runs smoothly
