FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Night Porter to join our friendly team at The Bell Inn, New Forest.

The ideal Night Porter will essentially be:

  • Reliable, pro-active professional.
  • Previous work history in a similar role.
  • Flexible and adaptable with tasks and working hours
  • Organised with attention to detail.
  • A passion for hospitality and customer/guest service
  • A team player who is able to work with minimum supervision
  • Experience of food and beverage handling would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills - orally and written English.

Night Porter responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the safety and security of every guest and staff member
  • Carrying out a regular security check and walks in all areas of the hotel and outer hotel, logging any maintenance issues needed
  • Meeting all guest requests/queries/calls in a positive, efficient and friendly manner.
  • Assisting in the setting the hotel’s function rooms.
  • Carrying out all night audit procedures according to company policy.
  • Preparing and serving food and drink from the menu.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the breakfast service.
  • Being fully aware of all emergency, health & safety procedures.
  • Following all guest’s arrival and departure procedures to the letter
  • Ensuring all guest wake up calls are delivered as requested.
  • Preparing full handovers for the morning teams and notify senior management of any incidents.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
