Description Summary/Objective: Should maintain good relationship and communicate frequently regarding production related needs with the Plant Manager, Department Managers, Suppliers, Staff, and auditors. Must have good decision making skills with regards to operational decisions by recommending production changes in line with the Plant Manager. Responsibilities: to plan, organize and control production in an organization to ensure that product is shipped efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard. Job tasks • plan a production schedule for the relevant department. • implement and control the production schedule • review and adjust the schedule where needed • determine the human resources required • determine the material resources required • manage human and material resources to meet production targets • make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and needs to fulfill the job. • work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations • ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to • ensure implementation and adherence to plant and food safety procedures • implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives • analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems • determine and implement improvements to the production process • prepare and maintain production reports • monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement • estimate production cost • implement cost control programs • ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including QC, receiving, cooling, warehouse, managing dock, dispatch and management Requirements Skills and Abilities: 5 years experience or a bachelor's degree - business administration, management, industrial technology knowledge and experience in production. knowledge of cooling field packed materials. knowledge of quality systems and standards for cooling process knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance knowledge of process improvement techniques. knowledge of human resource principles and practices. knowledge of QC equipment and basic functions and calibrations Reasoning ability: 1. A Manager should apply common sense to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, communication. 2. Good mathematical skills & know how to apply it to interpret financial information & production preparation. 3. Ability to Read, understand & interpret different documents of business records and statistical reports of company 4. Must be well organized, a self-starter, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; 5. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and plan work activities, using time efficiently; 6. Strong teambuilding and leadership skills; able to lead, coach, inspire, motivate and develop others; able to effectively delegate and follow-up. 7. Must be able to make sound independent decisions based on available data; Computer Skills Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word and Outlook; Proficiency in FAMOUS, AgKnowledge Physical Demands: This is an outdoor environment and office environment. Weekends, summer holidays and occasional Sunday work is expected.
