Stoke by Nayland Resort is looking for an experienced Night Receptionist/Night Porter to join the team on a full time basis.
This is a hands-on role that would will suit a motivated individual who has a positive outlook and natural interest in learning new skills and being organised. You will be professional and friendly and always ready to provide our guests with a warm welcome. As the first and last point of contact with our guests, you must have a genuine warmth and passion for delivering hospitality and ensuring our guests receive an exceptional guest experience.

QUALIFICATIONS OR DESIRED SKILLS

• Excellent IT and administrative skills
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• A proactive individual with a positive approach to work
• First Aid qualified to 3-day or equivalent
• Experience working with a POS & PMS system
• Excellent organisational skills and a good eye for detail
• The ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Previous experience of working on a hotel reception is preferred for this role.
• Full UK driving licence

Additional Information – As part of the Nights team you will be expected to work on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays. Due to our location, having your own transport is essential.

Your role will include;

• Welcoming guests and processing check-in and check-out
• Providing information on hotel facilities and services, as well as the surrounding area
• Processing guest payments, invoices, departure bills and room charges
• Taking,, modifying and processing room and restaurant reservations
• Running the Night Audit procedure
• Providing First Aid response
• Overseeing the safety and security of the building, staff and guests
• Developing and maintaining standards
• Evening and morning handover of tasks and checklists
• Monitoring CCTV
• Performing on-site checks and patrols
• Performing night cleaning duties and assisting housekeeping, where required
