Medivet Southend 24 Hour is seeking a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and dedicated team at our busy, well-equipped hospital in Southend, Essex.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment with access to excellent facilities, handling a varied and interesting caseload that will allow you to further develop your skills in both medical and surgical nursing. You will work alongside a veterinary surgeon and other experienced RVNs, ensuring exceptional care is provided to patients around the clock.
The role is a full-time, permanent position with a shift pattern of 7 nights on followed by 14 nights off, offering an excellent work-life balance while still providing the chance to be part of a dynamic 24-hour hospital setting.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
• Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.

In this role you will:

• Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
• Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
• Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
• Deliver patient monitoring and care.
• Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
• Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
• Dispense and check medication.
• Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
• Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
