Wickaninnish Inn Careers Job Description Join our Restaurant Team as a Fine Dining Night Server, where you have the opportunity to learn and grow in a Relais & Châteaux property recognized by Forbes, Michelin Key, AAA Four Diamond, and Travel & Leisure’s World’s Best Hotels. The successful candidate must be able to lead, and be a role model for all operating standards and systems. As a Night Server you will: Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting and exceeding Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes Standards. Lead by example and be a pro-active member of The Pointe Restaurant Team. Guide guests through available food & beverage options, assisting in selection if requested. Assist in the selection of the appropriate wine or spirit to accompany the meal. Deliver selected food & beverage to our guests, displaying the meal in a manner suitable for 4 & 5 Diamond establishments. Work in a team environment. Assist with the preparation of the dining room for ensuing shifts. Balance cash-outs. The Wickaninnish Inn is committed to the principles of equality and diversity in the workplace. Previous experience in a fine dining restaurant environment. Good knowledge of food, wine, beer and spirits. An appreciation for detail, and a passion for guest service. Professional and positive attitude in every aspect of the position. Consistent punctuality and dedication. A calm, polite and composed demeanor. A desire to contribute exciting and innovative ideas towards the ongoing improvement of The Pointe Restaurant and the Wickaninnish Inn as a whole. A valid Serving It Right Certification. Self-motivation in learning extensively about wines and spirits. Sommelier Certification an asset. The ability to successfully pass the In-House Wine exam. Knowledge of the use of Silverware computer system.
