JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are crucial for effective interaction with residents and team members.
• Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication are necessary.
• A valid driving licence is an advantage for facilitating transport needs of residents when required.
• A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Support individuals in following their personalised care plans to ensure their specific needs are met.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents’ conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Foster a positive and supportive environment by engaging with residents through conversation and activities.
• Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to provide comprehensive care.
• Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.
