Description

Bongards is looking for an energetic, motivated and dedicated individual to join our night shift production team as a Loaf Line Grinder Operator. The grinder operator is responsible for maintaining a constant supply of cheese for the assigned line. Job duties: * Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practice protocols for PPE and Cleanliness (Handwashing, Uniform, Tools, etc) * Able to react quickly to resolve unforeseen issues * Opening of all barrels and blocks of cheese needed for the production run. * Recording of weight and other pertinent information. * Verifying cheese is clean before going to the grinder. * Operation of the grinder. * Communicate with the blend set-up, cooker operator and lead. * Work in a safe and proficient manner (Lockout/Tagout of grinder) * Cleaning and Sanitizing of machines, all work areas after production is finished * Keep work area neat, clean and organized * Work in a safe, efficient manner in a fast paced team environment * Must report all food safety and quality concerns to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement Skills and Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent * Excellent Math, Reading and Writing skills * Strong communication skills * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines * Ability to work independently on assigned duties * Adaptable to sudden changes and willing to learn new skills * Knowledge of HMI screens, computers, and PIT is a plus * Be a dependable member of a team * Ability to work in Cold and Warm environments * Mechanical aptitude * Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other quality guidelines * Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement * Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs Schedule: * Night Shift 5:30pm to 6:00am Monday – Friday, frequent Saturdays Benefits: * Medical – Prescription Drug – Dental – Vision * Paid time off (PTO) * 401(k) with company match * Disability, life and voluntary insurance * Employee Assistance Program * Profit Sharing * Internal Career Opportunities If you are interested in this position you can apply by filling out an application in UKG/Ultipro, you must use the desktop website, not the mobile app.
