Belstra is in search of a self-motivated, detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to work within our feed manufacturing facilities. Belstra Milling is committed to producing the highest quality, most nutritious feeds available. Additionally, as a proud certified Safe Feed/Safe Food facility, our manufacturing and quality assurance processes and standards exceed current industry regulations. The operator must work in compliance with all the company policies, local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations. Job Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to): General plumbing, welding & fabrication, electrical, and carpentry skills Routine equipment maintenance Set-up, fabricate, and field fit auger and conveyor systems Installation of electric motor and drive combinations Knowledge of single and three-phase electrical power Ability to work alone or as a team Basic project management ability Keep accurate work records and turn in paperwork daily or as required Capable of completing tasks correctly while focusing on quality, service, and safety Requirements Skills and Requirements (included but not limited to): Problem Solving Attention to Detail Technical knowledge Organization and task prioritization Proactivity Excellent verbal communication skills Adaptable to working in a team or individually Ability to work under pressure Physical Demands: Lift at least 60-pounds Climb ladders and stairs and work at heights with good body balance Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, etc. Work in a dusty environment when loading/unloading Withstand exposure to seasonal weather conditions Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Education and Experience: High School diploma or G.E.D. Technical training not required, but a plus Minimum of 3-year maintenance experience Safety & Training Requirements: Employees in this role are required to complete and maintain the following safety trainings, as applicable: General New Hire Safety Training Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & Requirements Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Forklift Certification Confined Spaces Respirator Training (If applicable) Sal-CURB Training Electrical Training Hot Work Permits Spill Prevention Plan
