We are currently reviewing candidates who are highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist specializing in Microbiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex microbiological tests and procedures to detect, identify, and analyze microorganisms.
Our lab is located at the corporate headquarters campus in Pendleton, Oregon. Must be able to commute/work at our lab in Pendleton, Oregon.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of microbiological tests, including culture and sensitivity testing, molecular diagnostics, serology, and microscopic examination.
  • Identify and classify bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites using advanced microbiological techniques.
  • Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
  • Ensure accuracy and precision in test results through meticulous quality control procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to laboratory equipment and test procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss test results and their implications for patient care.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to other laboratory staff and trainees.
  • Develops and modifies procedures as needed.
  • Establishes and monitors programs, to ensure the accuracy of tests.
  • Participates in all aspects of proficiency testing.
  • Understands and adheres to HIPAA policies, procedures and regulations to assure patient confidentiality.
  • Performs administrative duties including excellent customer service to all patients, clients and employees.
