NIGHT SHIFT OPERATIONS TEAM MANAGER (OTM) – DISTRIBUTION CENTRE

Location: Burton on Trent
Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 22:00 – 06:00 (Fixed Nights)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced Night Shift Operations Team Manager to lead our warehouse night shift team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our Distribution Centre runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently while keeping our people motivated and engaged.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong people leader with warehouse management experience who thrives in a fast-paced retail/3PL environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Leading and managing all night shift operations: Goods In, Picking, Replenishment, and Despatch.
• Coaching and developing First Line Managers, Team Leaders, and Warehouse Colleagues.
• Planning daily and weekly workloads, forecasting volumes, and ensuring resources are in place.
• Driving performance, efficiency, and safety across the operation.
• Managing stock movements via NAVISION (WMS).
• Preparing performance reports and taking action to meet agreed KPIs.
• Creating rotas, managing overtime, and liaising with agencies for temporary labour cover.
• Handling day-to-day people issues, including absence, disciplinaries, and grievances.
• Building a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
