EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Leaving Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Education to degree level in a Science/Engineering discipline is desirable

· Experience of using a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and other manufacturing systems desirable

  • Knowledge of quality and food safety legislation desirable
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills
  • Flexible and committed attitude with the ability to display initiative
  • Flexibility in covering different shifts and weekends
  • IT literate with strong Word, Excel and database skills
  • Problem solver, disciplined in collecting information, ascertaining root cause of issues and identifying and developing practical solutions
Responsibilities

KEY TASKS

  • Maintain excellent standards of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Housekeeping Practice
  • Maintain production records, quality checks and housekeeping. Act as a member of the HACCP team
    · Lead, coach and train your team to enhance their skill set and builds a fun, engaging performance led team
    · Manage staff workload by delegating tasks accordingly and efficiently to ensure production quotas are met, ensuring all staff are fully aware of their duties

· Carry out training as required including new starters and refresher training for existing employees

  • Highly motivated team player with ability work using own initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a production environment

· Assist with continuous improvement activities. Identify any areas for optimisation and make recommendations to be part of building Traditional Cheese to be the best it can be
