Job Summary: Direct Support Professional This position will teach and demonstrate community living skills to consumers with developmental disabilities. Promote independence and help consumers maintain current skills Establish and maintain good working relationships with consumers, family\friends and outside professionals. This person will participate in routine operations of the facility which includes assistance with meal preparation, meal planning, budgeting, monitor facility maintenance, cleaning, transportation and recreational opportunities. This person will provide safety training to all consumers. This position works in a team setting and reports directly to the Manager of the area assigned to. Schedule: Overnight. Requirements The position requires education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and completion of occupationally-specific training Ability to pass a criminal and other background checks.
Responsibilities
Teach and demonstrate community living skills to individuals with developmental disabilities to promote independence. Assist with routine facility operations including meal planning, cleaning, transportation, and safety training.
