Description

We are currently seeking a Night Nurse to join our dedicated team at Medivet Chorley 24 Hour.
Our clinic is a well-established, community-focused veterinary practice, committed to providing top-quality care to our beloved animal patients all with everything you need right on your doorstep.
You’ll be working alongside our incredibly supportive Branch Partner Chris and Mel Heaton our Practice Manager. We have a lovely team made up of 7 day and 3 night RVNs, 6 Vets, 4 CCAs and 1 VCA.
The shift pattern will include 7 nights on, 14 nights off.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
