Description Are you looking for a fun place to work? The AYCC is looking for a dedicated individual to be our NinjAdventure Zone Attendant. Spend your time engaging with youth and ensuring their safety as they play on our indoor play structure, test their strength on our NinjAdventure obstacle course, and climb on our rock wall. BENEFITS: Possibility of FREE Childcare Paid Time Off Free AYCC Gym Membership ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide supervision of Rock Wall, harness participants to prepare for auto belay system and help participants out of harnesses. Follow all program procedures and guidelines. Demonstrate willingness to participate in all facets of the NinjAdventure Zone. Communicate with children, teens, adults, and groups to provide instructions on the use of the NinjAdventure Zone and enforce safety regulations and emergency procedures. Identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activity. Provide general supervision of its users, enforce safety rules of operation, perform safety checks, and perform light cleaning/ maintenance of the NinjAdventure Zone Equipment and the spaces that it occupies. Perform regular safety and maintenance checks. Perform light cleaning and maintenance of the NinjAdventure Zone Equipment and the spaces that it occupies. Requirements SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Excellent communication skills along with the skills necessary to work with groups of children of different ages and skill levels. Emotional and mental maturity along with training or skills in problem solving. Ability to work with children/youth and display role model behavior. Demonstrate internal and external customer service skills. Team player Ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently Critical thinking Flexibility KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School diploma or equivalent or working towards one. Must have CPR/First Aid certification or be willing to become certified. EXPERIENCE: Must have two years of experience significant to working with children, youth and adults. WORK SCEHDULE: Schedule varies each week, but shifts will take place during the day from Monday - Sunday
Responsibilities
The attendant will provide supervision for the Rock Wall, including harnessing participants and assisting them with the auto belay system, while ensuring adherence to all program procedures and guidelines. This role also involves communicating instructions for the NinjAdventure Zone, enforcing safety regulations, identifying hazards, and performing light cleaning and maintenance of the equipment and space.
