JOB OVERVIEW:

GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Nitrogen Operator to join our valued client’s team at their Grande Prairie, Alberta location. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience operating nitrogen equipment or related oilfield service is preferred.
  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license (with clean abstract) is an asset.
  • Required safety certifications: H2S Alive, First Aid, TDG, WHMIS (current or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and remote field locations.
  • Effective communication skills and a strong commitment to team collaboration.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in oil and gas field operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and situational awareness skills.
Responsibilities
  • Perform nitrogen pumping activities and support the setup, operation, and monitoring of nitrogen equipment under supervision.
  • Assist with rig-in/rig-out processes, equipment setup, and hose connections.
  • Monitor system gauges and performance during operations; report any irregularities immediately.
  • Participate actively in safety meetings, JSAs, FLHAs, and toolbox talks.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
  • Cooperate with crew members and supervisors to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Mentor less experienced operators as appropriate.
  • Operate nitrogen pumping units, conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, and perform minor maintenance.
  • Complete all job-related paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Support shop and yard operations, including equipment cleaning, staging, and mechanical tasks.
  • Participate in training, safety sessions, and operational reviews.
