JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our central services team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medications, side effects and community pharmacy services. As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients, providing expert advice and support to both healthcare professionals and patients.

REQUIREMENTS

• Be registered as a Pharmacist with the GPhC.
• Strong knowledge of medication administration.
• Proven experience in patient care.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to patients and colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work with autonomy whilst keeping on top of targets.
• Capable of providing all NHS Community Pharmacy Services including Pharmacy First, Pharmacy Contraception Service, Discharge Medicines Service.

• Provide effective consultations with patients.
• Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and the importance of adherence to prescribed therapies.
• Maintain accurate records of consultations.
• Stay updated on new medications and therapies to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
• In rare circumstances, you may be required to work in a community pharmacy in the event of sickness or absence.
